The North Vancouver
Community Arts Council partners with the City of North Vancouver and the
District of North Vancouver to coordinate craft fairs on several
weekends in July and August.
Come admire the
talents of local crafter who display their unique, handmade items for
sale.
Live music, face
painting, and free art activities for children create a festival
atmosphere at each Craft Fair

Lynn Valley Day at Lynn Valley Park

Despite less
than perfect weather this year's Lynn Valley Day kicked off with our
parade, LV Lions' club pancake breakfast, several bands, an ice cream
eating contest, a hot dog eating contest, a magic show, maypole, rides
for the kids, the all day cook shack, a toy sale (held in the LV Rec
Centre) and face painting for the kids

Valley Community Association Annual General Meeting
Our 2010 Annual General
Meeting was held at Mollie Nye House and featured Mayor Richard Walton as our
guest speaker speaking on the North Vancouver District Community Plan process.
As in every organization there is usually some changeover in the Executive from
year to year and this year we saw the retirement of two board members, Lee Gavel
(1st picture on the left) and Don Friesen (2nd picture on the left) who received
awards of appreciation from the Association for their many years of dedicated
work on behalf of both the Association and the community as a whole. (Also shown
in both pictures is meeting MC Dan Ellis and LVCA President John Gilmour)
 
We also welcome new
board members Grant Botto and Trevor Dunn. We look forward to working with you
in the coming months.
